All About Obedience offers the following servicesBoarding While Training
Pat Brown-John takes your dog into her home in order to train in a realistic home environment then brings him or her back to you trained to your specifications. We believe each dog is unique and therefore adapt our training program to the individual dog and to the specific needs of the owner. We will consider specific handler needs and resolve behavioural concerns such as excessive barking, digging, biting, refusing to come when called, and so on. With all dogs in training, it is important for the owner to make a commitment to maintain the training and continue with the training foundation established during the time your dog is with us. When your dog is returned, owners and family members are taught what the dog can do and how to reinforce the new training. After one week, we work together again to make sure the dog is responding well to the new commands and the owner is able to maintain the training.BoardingDogs that have completed the “boarding while training” program may return for boarding when needed for any length of time. This is a convenient way to maintain the training, provide additional training or make adjustments to your training during a time when you are not able to keep your dog with the family. While you are on vacation is a perfect time to have your dog trained or to add to his/her existing training. Two follow-up sessions are included at the completion of each training plan. Group Obedience Classes
Obedience classes are available in small groups to teach owners how to train their own dog. The focus of small group classes is on basic obedience and manners. Owners learn important dog training techniques, how to respond to the individual needs of their dog and by with strange situations, learning how to interact with other dogs and generally become more relaxed in any situation. Every dog and handler is different, and sometimes training issues persist despite best efforts. For those experiencing training challenges or seeking high levels of obedience performance from their dog, an individual consultation will provide honest feedback and expert advice to help you achieve your goals.
